This roller insert consists of a Teflon cradle, a titanium wire mesh half cylinder, and black Viton (R) O-rings which provide traction when the inserts are in operation inside glass scintillation vials. All materials are inert, but highly lipid soluble agents may be extracted by the insert. In the latter case it might be advisable to use our all titanium inserts. Precision-cut tissue slices (1-3) with diameters of 5-10 mm and thickness of 200 µm may be placed on the titanium screens. The Type A roller insert fits into a 20 ml scintillation vial and will operate optimally with 1.7 ml media.
