This tissue slicer incorporates a disposable rotating circular blade driven by a low voltage cordless motor at 200 rpm. The slicer is made out of Lucite, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, Delrin, and Stainless Steel which can be ethylene oxide or glutaraldehyde sterilized. Slice accumulation, cooling of the slicing buffer and gassing are accomplished with the help of an oxygen/carbon dioxide driven aerator pump. Cutting of slices from precored tissue cylinders is done manually by pushing the slicer arm across the rotating blade.
